Bio

A versatile performer, Dr. Kabbas performs regularly on a variety of instruments in diverse settings. She currently serves as bass clarinetist for the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and has recently performed as a clarinetist with groups such as the South Georgia Ballet, the Ocala Symphony Orchestra, and the Tallahassee Community Chorus. In addition to her orchestral work, Dr. Kabbas has extensive experience in the areas of contemporary clarinet, extended techniques, and jazz, all of which are regularly programmed on her solo and chamber music performances. She has also performed in a variety of theatre settings, including with the Theatre Tallahassee, Teatro Lirico D’Europa, the Richard Fallon Theatre, and the Phoenix Theatre.

As a saxophonist, Dr. Kabbas has performed in various big band, jazz combo, and theatre settings for nearly 15 years, including performances at the Richard Fallon Theatre, Phoenix Theatre, Copperstar Repertory Company, and the Arizona State University Concert Jazz Band and Dixie Devils. She currently serves as a guest saxophonist with the Thursday Night Music Club and the Tallahassee Swing Band.
